My First Blog Post

Hello!! For the past 5 weeks, I have disabled the social media applications on my phone, and thus have not used them – aside from responding to couple of messages on my desktop. In today’s age, some might say that you cannot even be a photographer without being active on social media. That is beside the point; however, with some of my reclaimed time, I created this. I am super excited to launch my website and this blog. With that said, let me tell you a little about me and the future of this blog. I am currently a college student at Purdue University and now also the president of the Purdue Photography Club. In addition, I have been teaching a number of photo editing workshops as an ambassador for Adobe on my college campus. I am from California; and therefore, a lot of my photography centers around the San Francisco Bay Area and its surrounding landscapes. Why landscape photography? I just enjoy being out in the world experiencing and capturing those beautiful fleeting moments of colorful light and atmosphere.

Growing up, I have always been better at math compared to writing; however, I started writing these subsequently longer photo descriptions to tell the stories and other memorable moments I experienced while creating my photos. If you have recently read one of my Facebook photo descriptions on my photography page, then you will know what I am talking about. And then, it was a little over a year ago, that I wrote my story of a trip I took with my dad on New Year’s Day 2018. I talked about the stories behind the photos I took that day and how I overcame some of the challenges I faced. Here is that story: https://spark.adobe.com/page/R6IQAWh4sDieY/

So now it is summer again, I have finally decided to create this blog as a new way to share all my stories and ideas that I have stored up. You can expect to read about stories from my adventures and trips like the January 1st story mentioned above. There will be tips and behind the scenes to how I go about making photos or videos. Also, you can look forward to seeing some photo editing tutorials. Finally, you may also see some blog posts about gear and tech stuff too!

To stay updated on all the latest, you can follow me on one of my social media accounts (or all of them if you really want). In addition, you can subscribe to my new newsletter where I will occasionally send cool stuff. I won’t send very many emails as I really don’t want to send you a bunch of spam. And if you need to contact me, you can always visit my contact page. Lastly, if you have any ideas of what else I should post about, feel free to let me know!
